Disability Transition
Changes in health, capacity, or disability often affect far more than the body. They can reshape identity, plans, energy, and expectations — sometimes all at once.
This work centers on practical clarity and realistic pacing. We account for fluctuating capacity, real constraints, and the emotional impact of change, so you can make choices that honor your life as it is now.
Often helps with:
-
navigating uncertainty around limits and capacity
-
reducing pressure to “push through”
-
making plans that are sustainable, not idealized
Physical Transitions Coaching lasts 6-8 sessions, offering the following :
Grounded, supportive space to people diagnosed with a disability, or an unexpected diagnosis, letting them process loss, rethink identity, and adapt daily life in ways that respect their energy, limits, and values.
A focus on grief and adjustment, identity shifts, fatigue-aware decision-making, and practical adaptations for daily life. The work is paced, collaborative, and grounded in your lived experience, helping you shape a life that feels meaningful and honest within your current capacities.
Personal development work that is not medical care or positive-thinking training, but practical, grief-informed support for rebuilding a meaningful life within new realities.
.
Steady, non-medical support for navigating grief, identity shifts, fatigue, and practical life changes—at your pace, without pressure to “fix” or optimize yourself.
A Special Note on Disability Transition Coaching
This area of coaching is very near and dear to my heart, as I am disabled myself.
Disability transition coaching supports people adjusting to a change in body, capacity, or daily life—and finding their footing again.
Disability can quietly reshape routines, roles, plans, and self-expectations. Coaching offers a calm, non-medical space to pause, take stock, and make sense of what’s changed.
Together, we may focus on:
-
adjusting to new or shifting limits
-
rethinking identity, roles, and expectations
-
adapting daily life, work, and relationships at a realistic pace
-
making decisions that respect energy, fatigue, and fluctuation
There is no pressure to push through, stay positive, or “bounce back.” The work is paced, practical, and grounded in your lived experience.
This support is about starting again—building a life that is sustainable, meaningful, and aligned with who you are now.
